• General Comments: Several political parties in the UK put out party leaflets that purport to be local newspapers or local guides. This is an example of one, but by no means as bad as some other local parties. It is by Russell George who is a conservative AM (Assembly Member) for Montgomeryshire and who sits in the Welsh Senedd (A parliament for Wales) and has been there since 2011. The leaflet is bilingual in English and Welsh. It covers the Russell George’s local surgery, local medical services, useful telephone numbers, a useful guide to the local community, his biography and views, and a centre fold page which attempts to explain what the Senedd (located in way-off Cardiff) actually does?
