The AWA was also where Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and "Mean" Gene Okerlund exploded into the national spotlight. For the first time, The Spectacular Legacy of the AWA traces the rich history of the organization, from its early split from the NWA to its eventual demise at the hands of WWE. Extensive interviews with both Verne and Greg Gagne, Vince McMahon, as well as AWA stars Nick Bockwinkel, Larry " The Ax" Hennig, Jim Brunzell, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, Dusty Rhodes and more.
