Detailed Condtion : It's in very good condition for its age. The hardback cover is clean. There is yellowing and marking to the inside covers and first two pages. Inside the pages are mostly clean. There is a minor stain showing in all the pages up until around page 110.
First published in 1833, this alphabetically arranged work details the counties, cities, boroughs, corporate and market towns, parishes, chapelries, and townships of Wales. It also includes historical, topographical, and statistical descriptions of these areas. It does not include illustrated maps as the title page alludes to but it does include the illustrated engravings.
This is an original hardback copy of the Topographical Dictionary of Wales. It has been well-preserved over the years and remains in very good condition for its age. The book is a valuable addition to any collector's library, particularly those interested in antique and historical literature. The absence of an illustrator does not detract from the wealth of knowledge contained within its pages. Overall, this rare and fascinating book is a must-have for anyone interested in the history of Wales and its surrounding regions.
