• Comments: The Griffith Observer is a publication by the iconic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles that features in many Hollywood movies and TV series. The observatory is not just about appearing in the media but has some sizeable telescopes there that can be used for research and some great education and museum  facilities. This edition of the Griffith Observer is dedicated to Halley’s Comet. But there is also a what’s on in the sky and star charts (night and pre-dawn sky) for May 1986. Apart from collectors of back issues of the Griffith Observer it would also be suitable for collectors of Halley’s Comet memorabilia. Maybe you took part in the Halley’s Comet events at the observatory and would find this useful to remember – it has photos of some of the participants.
