Säljarens Beskrivning
I offer a photo: Caledonian Steam Packet "Marchioness of Breadalbane".
Marchioness of Breadalbane was built by J Reid & Co in 1890 and could carry over 1000 passengers at a speed of around 17 knots. She was well fitted out and was adorned with the latest fashionable furnishings. She ran on the Rothesay and Kyles of Bute service initially and later as the Largs and Millport steamer for the CSP Co. She saw service in WW1 as a minesweeper and transport ship. She continued in service with CSP Co after the war and survived until 1935, when she was sold for scrap. She was immediately resold to Redcliffe Shipping for use out of Yarmouth and Lowestoft, but lasted only two further years before being sold to German breakers.
