Translated title: The classic books of the Chinese Empire by Father Christmas.
Great *RARE* antique French small leather hardback book from 1785 on observations of the origin, nature and progress of moral and political philosophy in the Empire. Text of book is in French language. This is volume 3 only. Photo 14 shows a previous owner's antique label on the inside cover. Binding and pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 240 years old.
Measures 13.25cm tall x 8cm wide. Weighs 125 grams.
