Protected Home FreezeAlarm FA-700 Temperature Alarm Dialer with Manual
NO power adapter included, you will need a 6VDC 200 MA adapter with a 5mm OD X 2.5mm ID barrel jack with center positive.
The screws that hold the battery box have rusty heads.
Notes:
I cannot find the power supply that goes with this unit; perhaps it was left onsite when we did the office cleanout. If I do find it before it sells I will rewrite the ad and include it in with the unit.
The included manual is one I download from the Net.
The alarm has been tested by a Journeyman Telecom Employee (Using a test bench power supply) all functions are working.
This unit requires a POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) line with touchtone capabilities.
General Description:
The FA-700 monitors your home for a variety of alarm conditions. When an alarm event occurs, the FA-700 calls the programmed phone number for the following alarms:
• Temperature drops below 45°F (7°C) or rises above 85°F (34°c,) (DIP switch selectable,)
• FA-700 low battery condition (backup AA batteries)
When a problem occurs at the monitored location, the FA-700 will start calling the programmed phone number over a standard phone line and describe an English) the current alarm(s). The FA-700 will continue calling until the alarm call-out is canceled.
LEDs:
The FA-700 has three LEDs: Power, Program, and Alarm located on its front panel. These LEDs present operating status of the FA-700. Table 2 (see Pictures) explains the operational states of the
three LEDs.
There are two Jacks and one set of 4 DIP switches on the rear of the unit:
An RJ-11 for a standard phone line.
A barrel Jack (Approximately 5mm OD, 2.5 mm ID Center Positive) for a 6VDC 200ma power pack (not included).
4 Position Dip Switch:
1 – Temperture Low or High
2 – Pick-up Ring Count
3 – Call Out Frequency
4 – Not used
The dialer measures approximately 5.8in L, 3.5in W, 1 .5in H (14.7cm, 8.9cm. 3.8cm). The dialer and Manual weigh approximately 193 grams Shipping weight will be 300 grams in a padded envelope or small box.
