Additional descriptive notes (if applicable): the full text on the back of the postcard reads: 'Amy Johnson, C.B.E., 1903-1941. Amy Johnson was born in Hull on 1st July 1903. She began learning to fly in 1928 and after 10 months of training and a total of 19 hours flying experience, obtained her pilot's licence in July 1929. It was only 10 months later that she made her solo flight from England to Australia, the first of many record breaking flights.'
