Printed colour postcard showing a comic illustration of a large lady in a cart being pulled by a poor donkey and captioned "Owing to the Railway Strike don't be surprised to see me coming home in a Donkey-Cart!"
Published by The Corona Publishing Co, Blackpool, Beat Em All Series, No 139.
Postally used on 21 August 1911 with double circle Blackpool cancellation on green halfpenny stamp and sent to Mrs F. Lawrence, Crab Tree Cotts, Crab Tree, Biddulph, Staffordshire and with single circle receipt postmark for Stoke-on-Trent on the following day.
Fairly good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but large light bends to top left, lower left centre, large light crease to centre right and small creases to both bottom corners, though none are heavy.
