Garnets from this area of the world have exceptional clarity and color. I really, really, really hate the muddy prune-juice-colored garbage that's passed off as nice garnets. I just won't carry them. Instead, when the Mozambique mines started producing, I focused on their material, and haven't looked back since. This is a good, rugged ring that won't get in your way. Wear it at work, wear it on special occasions -- it's just a good ring. ____________________________________________________________________ BTW, Since we make this from scratch after you order it, we have a lot of flexibility. We can cast this in yellow, white or rose gold, and in any of 10k, 14k, or 18k.
