This stone picks up and throws light even when there's virtually no light to be thrown. Cherry and I were at a dimly lit restaurant a while back (our once a week splurge...), and you should have seen this thing sparkle -- it was a sight to see! A Mercury Mist Topaz is really a incredible stone. Like all of the Mystic Fire topazes, it starts out in life as a natural, mined stone, but is enhanced with a treatment of Titanium, which I explain at length elsewhere. What's cool about this stone is the range of pastel iridescence. Icey blue's, cool green's, and splashes of gold and silver, with the occasional pink. We have it here in .925 Sterling Silver. We use a special alloy in our sterling silver that is tarnish resistant, so your ring will be beautiful AND hassle-free for a long time to come. A good strong ring, with a lovely filigree design. The pattern work on the side is a nice addition to the Mercury Mist Topaz. This is an everyday sort of ring. You can work out in the yard, and you won't hurt this ring at all.
