Säljarens Beskrivning
Late 1940s / 1950s circular type radiator pressure cap. Made by AC. Part No. RB-5 J2. This variant of the standard RB-5 / 850573 has an additional (2BA, at a glance) stud soldered to the lower inside centre - see pics. I suspect for some less common, special application? I can't imagine why this stud could not be unsoldered, changing this cap back to a standard RB-5. Either way its release pressure is 4 lb.
It's been unboxed for years, knocked around in an autojumble tray then retired to my garage loft so its appearance has suffered and you would need to fabricate a gasket to go between it and the radiator. Still, not bad and offered at a price way below those on the other platform.
I do not have application data on the RB-5 or this RB-5 plus stud though I do believe Jaguar XK 120 and 140 models used the standard form.
