3 Original 9 1/4 inch x 7 3/4 inch Black and White Front-of-House Stills (Lobby Cards) of CHARLES LAUGHTON, MAUREEN O’HARA, THOMAS MITCHELL, ALAN MARSHAL & WALTER HAMPDEN in the 1939 William Dieterle Historical Drama THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, based on the novel by Victor Hugo.
Laughton’s extraordinary Quasimodo dominates this splendid RKO version of Victor Hugo’s novel. Dieterle is a magician with the crowd scenes and atmosphere, and he makes the most of Van Nest Polglase’s wonderfully imaginative sets of Paris and Notre Dame.
The stills are in very good condition but have probably been trimmed from 10 inch x 8 inch. The still with O’Hara being restrained by guards has a small tear in the lower right corner
