The residents of Haddonfield don't know it yet, but death is coming to their sleepy small town. Sixteen years ago, a young boy named Michael Myers brutally killed his stepfather, his elder sister and her boyfriend. Now, he's escaped from the mental institution and makes his way back to his hometown intent on continuing his murderous rampage. I thoroughly enjoyed Zombie's reimagining of this classic story. The increased attention to the origins of Michael added a dimension I felt was lacking in the original. He took a slightly different approach to the character of Michael as well as Dr Loomis. It changed the flavor of the film but still kept the basic premise of the movie intact. If you are one who feels that the original film should be inviolate then you won't like this movie. If you enjoy a different take on a classic then this one is for you.
