Dragoons 4th 2nd Regiment of US Infantry American Indian War 3x Uniform Postcard

This is a collection of three American Military vs Indian Warrior postcards, each card being a painting of uniformed American soldiers of historical American Indian wars in their battles against legendary Indian military warriors.

The first shows a Private from the 4th Regiment Of US Infantry in 1812 with a Shawnee Warrior who were a leading tribe of the Algonquin family.  After the defeat of the Shawnee by the US Army at Tippercanoe Indiana in 1811 Tecumseh sided with the British in the war of 1812. He was appointed a Brigadier General in the United States in command of 2000 Indians opposed to the United States. The 4th Regiment of US Infantry were victorious in this historic battle at Tippercanoe.

The second shows an Officer and 2nd Regiment of the US Dragoons in 1837 and their opponents of the Osceole (Seminole Indians). After many setbacks for the US army fighting in the treacherous Florida swamps, the Seminole Indians and Chiefs were persuaded to parely under a flag of truce after continued mounting US military pressure at Fort Peyton in 1837. 

The third shows a Private of the 44th Regiment of Foot Infantry against Huron Warriors in 1795 which events began in the battle on July 9th 1755 where a force of British regulars and Colonial militeria were ambushed in Pennysylvania that was to culminate in the famous Indian War of 1755 to 1763 which the original British force captured later took part in the Revolutionary War combining forces with the US and the 44th Foot Infantry were pivotal in the allied forces victory.

All three postcards show these US Leaders and their Indian opponents and uniforms from these historic American Indian battles in late history with detailed notes of the paintings and each battle with its leaders events and casualties on the reverse of each postcard, all undated but circa 35 years ago origin, and all unused in brand new mint condition.
