Great antique LARGE heavy 1.6kg hardback book on the history of England. Special century edition. This is volume 1 covering the Roman invasion to the War Of The Roses. No publication date but research showed this was published circa 1900 which makes senses as this is a "century" edition. Photo 3 shows the lovely gold gilt page edges. Contains illustrations throughout including full page colour illustrations. Photo 23 shows a bit of colour fading to the front cover right edge due moisture or cold temperature many years ago. Photo 24 shows foxing on the inside cover. Some pages might have the odd light foxing spot but binding and most pages inside are in great condition especially as the book is 125 years old.

Measures 26.5cm tall x 19cm wide x 3.75cm thick. Weighs 1.6kg.
