This work traces the history of the Derby through its winners, with notes on the influence they and their relatives have had. It is of interest to thoroughbred breeders, owners and trainers, and students of heredity. Howard Wright has been involved in writing about the many facets of thoroughbred racing for almost 20 years, since he joined the Timeform Organisation as a teenager and edited 'The Racing Week'. He spent 11 years as a daily racing correspondent with the Sheffield Morning Telegraph and has been a member of the Daily Telegraph racing staff since 1980. He has written for all the leading racing and thoroughbred publications in Britain, beginning a weekly comment column in the Racehorse in 1971, and is a regular contributor to Pacemaker International and the European Racehorse. |
Good condition with dust cover. A couple of minor tears to the outer edges of pages within the book and a small tear to the bottom of the dust jacket only.
