Additional descriptive notes (if applicable): the full text on the back of the postcard reads: 'B' Type Bus on Westminster Bridge. This type of bus entered service in October 1910. The designers, Colonel Frank Searle and Walter Iden, incorporated the best features of all the previous motor buses used in London up until that time. Approximately 2,700 buses of this type were in service by 1914 and many were requisitioned by the armed forces for service in Britain and Europe.
