Want a hum free valve preamplifier? Once you have your HT power supply smoothed and your heater supply centre tap grounded, those high gain valve preamp stages are still prone to picking up radiated interference and hum straight through the glass of the valves. If your valve amp doesn't already have screened sockets, there is a way to fit screening cans without having to rewire all the valves!

This is an Aluminium adaptor for ceramic 9 pin chassis mounting B9A valve sockets to suit 9 pin preamp valves such as 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7 and 6N1P. This item consists of a skirted adaptor that will fit in place of the mounting ring on most common B9A chassis sockets (including ours), allowing you to fit a screening can without having to rewire the sockets, a great time saving upgrade! 

Fitting screening cans can work well for noise/hum reduction in high gain preamp stages in guitar amps and home build projects, or for use in Hi-Fi amps.




Mounting hole centres on the adaptor are 27.5mm apart and will accept M3 mounting hardware.
