Synopsis
As the dust settles after a general election, four Members of Parliament head for Westminister. Elaine Stalker MP, married with a teenage daughter, has worked hard for her success. Sir Nigel Boswood, much-loved and admired, simply wants to end his career with distinction. But his respectable image masks a tragic weakness and a sordid sexual scandal puts his reputation at risk. Thrown together in the hot-house of Westminister, all four learn that ambition can exact too high a price.
