The iconic Routemaster bus can be seen travelling southwards along Regent Street. The early years of the twenty-first century were the swan song for the open platform bus and these three buses were perilously approaching the end of their days in public service. They were the last buses to carry a conductor and ended the tradition started in 1829.'
