1948 NEVIL SHUTE "THE CHEQUER BOARD" RACISM IN US FORCES FICTION BOOK (P3)
Great vintage fiction hardback book from 1948 by Nevil Shute. The novel deals with the question of racism within the US forces during WW2 and portrays black characters with sympathy and support. Photo 3 shows that a previous owner has stuck the original dust jacket front cover on the inside cover and also shows pen writing from 1948 on the inside cover opposite. Binding and other pages inside are in nice condition.
