"I, Ernest William Wooders of 3 Hickman Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, Manufacturer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention to be as follows: This invention has relation to the metallic washers or plates which are used in connection with rubber or like paids for the soles and heels of boots or shoes, but more particularly with revolving rubber or like heel pads such as are secured in place by means of a headed screw and a metallic washer or bearing plate interposed between the head of the said screw and the underside of the pad..."
