"I, Gustav Eisner of Fallbachstrasse No. 2, Hanau-on-the-Main, Hesse, Germany, Brewer, do hereby declare the nature of this invention to be as follows: This invention relates to a sorting or sifting cylinder in which the sifting surface is formed of a series of parallel bars of elongated cross sectional form mounted in the ends of the cylinder in such a manner that the passage area between the bars can be altered by mans of a rotary movement imparted uniformly to all the bars..."
