Seller's Description
This is a postcard showing a view of the town of Camden, Maine, USA.
The card has had an interesting journey. First, it was posted in Camden, Maine, USA, on 6 August 1903 addressed to a Mrs. C.D. Nitschke, a passenger on an unidentified White Star line ship at Liverpool, England, care of Ismay, Imrie & Co. (which owned the White Star Line). However, it did not connect with the lady at Liverpool, as there is a cachet saying “Arrived too late…". It seems then to have been forwarded on to an address in Adelaide, Western Australia.
The card has an undivided back. It is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, a few mark, and some creasing at the top right corner. There is some loss on the back around the stamp.
