Seller's Description
This is a postcard showing the old fortified wall of the French town of Montreuil-sur-Mer. These fortifications date back to the 9th century, although they were extensively developed later up to the 18th century. The town was also notable as the location for the British Army's General Headquarters (GHQ) on the Western Front during WW1, from 1916-1919.
The card is in fair condition, with some wear to the corners and edges, and a few marks. It is unposted.
