Awful! Hearing about the loss of limbs on the news is one thing but that picture really brings home the true horror of it all.

Wicked Wednesday!! Thoughts are with the folks in Boston and future ridiculousness!!
http://youtu.be/UogPgnYoJ0M
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds... Oh Lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their Judgment day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning
Ashes where the bodies burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of Judgment, God is calling
On their knees the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
Oh Lord yeah!
Hi everyone, hope you are all OK.
You know Al, the pic that you posted with that poor man in the wheelchair with his leg blown off to the bone has haunted me.
His pallid and harrowed face will remain with me for a long, long time.
God only knows what motivated the morons who assembled those bombs to cause so much damage.
I hope they are caught and dealt with accordingly.
My thoughts and prayers are for everyone affected by this unbelievable, monstrous act. Words fail me.
My apologies for the hauntings. I guess we shouldn't dwell on incidents such as this but instead find ways to eliminate needless acts.
The lyrics above hit me harder then the terrorists acts at the Marathon. Were the responsible individuals upset with any of the folks at the Marathon? I would assume not. Were there personal vendettas against any of the people in or around the World Trade Centers on 9/11? Probably not. So who is in fact responsible for these acts of terror? Other than the people carrying out these random acts of violence, who has created this hatred?
It all seems very complicated to me, Al! What do these people want - to kill us it appears. So, when we are gone, what are they left with? Our land will not be the same place without us, so what's the big deal?
And it is still snowing here.
I YDC, Do you?
I've never understood blanket hatreds or prejudices myself, tend to agree with Churchill when he asked why Hitler hated the Jews and then said that a person can't help his or her birthright, and while there are good and bad people in any group it doesn't make sense to hate groups wholesale. I'm guessing not everyone feels that way though.
Wyo sorry about the snow, hope it clears up soon. Tomorrow is a local Senior Olympics Day, hope to get Mom to go and then maybe to go back home to handle mail, lease and a million other assorted things before going to NY hopefully soon, (fingers, toes and eyeballs crossed).
Cheers,
I think I'll take snow instead of rain. Still coming down here. Expressways closed throughout the area. Towns under water. All viaducts flooded. My sump pump hasn't shut off since early yesterday. Was just out in the driving rain extending the pump hoses 75' to the street. Hopefully that will keep some of the water fromrunning back in and give the pump a break.
