Was looking on the other side for something (yes i did look here but not one listed) when i read this on someone's auction, just wondered if it was true

Yes paypal hold the money for 21 days or until positive feedback is left but that only applies to the other side. As for this part of the statement 'If you want to pay by paypal you have to leave feedback before you leave with the item!' I would ask the seller to explain it in english

Paypal dont always hold onto the money for 21days or until feedback is left, they only do it when it is a high value item or if they think there is some scam running, but they do hold onto 10% of the money for 120 days incase of claw backs and this applies to all business sellers who have registered(or upgraded to business seller) in the last few months- that is one hell of a bind.

I'm a registered business seller with them also and never have had money held. They brought that rule in about a year ago. People who were new or had few sales got that restriction placed on them. You can get your money faster if the buyer leaves positive feedback. I should probally change my registration here to business. Doubt if it would change sales but maybe some people like to see a business registration instead of personal.
