Please can we be told if there is a problem here and what is happening? The translation program into French should now be complete and I can find nothing!

Default Would also like an answer!!!

I posted this originally and even offered my services to help ebid and sellers with translations!

Other posts in the forums seem to recently be suggesting everyone lists more to attract more buyers.
    I don't really understand that.

All ebid needs to do is translate the site to French, German etc... and there will be millions of more buyers very fast because of the low dollar and £ now against the euro.
Just go to the front page of ebay, there is a huge banner telling the French to buy from UK because of the low rate.

I have been posting about French being needed on the French site since I joined eBid and so have many others before me. Sorry if I hijacked your thread but this was the one where Gazza had suggested French would start to appear from April 1st. Other languages to follow for other European sites. As nothing has happened I wanted to remind Gazza of what he said. It is so frustrating to be left in the dark!

I thought the French were so clever they could all speak English fluently.

They probably can, and so can the Germans, but there is a big difference between speaking and reading. And I for one would want to be 100% sure I understood everything correctly before buying

Maybe it would be quicker to teach the French to read in English then.

People joining the site, buying, listing and selling on eBid UK seem to have enough problems understanding the instructions when written in English - imagine trying to understand the "Help" and "News" pages in a second language!

Many French people can indeed speak English - but why should they? Ebid is wishing to trade outside the UK so should offer their services in the local language - French in France, German in Germany etc. If I, as a British person living here, wish to read eBid information in English I can look at the UK pages.

Alors je le renvoi tout en haut car ebid ne réponds pas et quand je leur écris en direct ils me disent de poster la demande dans les forum.
