I have reduced the BIN price before. As most of my stuff is used I find it quite hard to fix a price. Let's face it: I am selling, because I don't want it any more, and rather than throwing away, I like to get something for it. So I will consider offers
I would change the length of the listing.
I would have to think VERY hard before lowering the Buy It Now price. It does not set a good example for future listings as it increases the shopper's expectations that he/she can always get something for less than you set. You have set your price, presumably, for good reasons.
I would make it clear there is a shipping discount if they buy multiple items.
Provided you're happy with the price they are offering, why not?
If you feel that the offer price is too low, you could always make a counter-offer somewhere in between.

With the reduced listing period - I probably would reduce it or change it to a buy it now if I was asked a dnwe were able to agree on the set price etc.
With ref to whether I would reduce a current buy it now price - it would really depend on what price they were offering. At the end of it all, I want to sell my items and have set my prices accordingly. The house clearance items are more flexible and allow more scope for altering the price. The hand crafted items do have a bottom line in that they have cost me in fabric, trim, ribbon, and time etc to produce / make and don't really have much scope for flexibility as they are already set at their bottom line price.
But - that said - anything is worth the asking - the final decision whether to alter prices is up to the seller, same as the final decision to buy rests with the buyer. The trick is getting 2 minds to agree on the price.
You don't need to reduce a Buy Now, you can just tell them you'll give a discount when they buy, that way you're protected if they disappear. Changing the length of a Buy Now listing makes no difference, except making it less visible on Google if you buyer doesn't go ahead.
I asked someone if they would put a BIN price on an item as I did not want to wait 2 weeks, they did and I brought.![]()
About the only thing I'd do is add a BIN - but as everything I sell has BIN I won't need to.
My auction price is the MINIMUM I would accept - the BIN is what I'd prefer to get!
