Question Questions On Rules For Wanted Ads

Hi, everyone, I'm pretty new here and still learning. I'm wondering - does the person who creates a wanted ad have an obligation to buy if a seller posts an offer that meets the terms of the wanted ad in the same way that the bidder on an auction is obliged to buy if he has the highest bid?
Example: I see a wanted ad for a widget at $10. I offer to sell the widget to the wanter at $10 and there are no other offers to sell. Is the wanter obliged to buy the widget from me at $10? If so, do I owe ebid a FVF as in a selling auction? Any insights the membership can share will be appreciated.

The item in the reply to the wanted add would have to meet the wanted ad posters requirements before any sale / purchase is proceeded with. ie

I post a wanted add for a hardback book by AJ Anon titled I Am Here. I state that I am willing to pay £2 for this book inc p&p. You reply to my wanted ad with 'I have a paperback book version of this book, for £2 plus p&p. I don't have to accept your offer to my wanted as it contradicts my request on 2 points i) the cover of the book (HB / PB) and ii) p&p

Now if you replied to my offer with the exact item that fitted my wanted ad - the cover, author, price, and condition etc, then to be honest and truthful, if I was genuinely looking for that item and your item fitted exactly I'd be daft not to accept your offer.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you for the info, I appreciate it, your reply is pretty much what I thought would be the case - I guess the wanter has the final say on the deal. Good to know in any event.
