Well according to this article Ebid announced API will be released in 2009. It is absolutely necessary this happens if Ebid wants to be taken seriously. There are no negative aspects of implementing API. It will only help Ebid grow. The cost of hiring a competent programmer will be worth every penny. Not informing Ebid customers of the progress of API is irresponsible and unprofessional.
