alm uses the same dimentions as I do
I do a lot of cross stitch and I always leave at least 2 - 3 inches spare all the way round, that way you've got a bit extra to trim down if needed and it's enough fabric to stretch at the back of a mount board if needed. It doesn't matter what size aida count you use, I would still leave 2-3 inches all the way round
My mum has given me a few sampler kits from magazines, unaware that the mags she has thrown away had the patterns in them
If anyone collects "Cross Stitch Magic" or "The World of Cross Stitching" and has patterns for "Kit 1, Beautiful Bear", "Disney Tigger" or "Country Companions, Ed in the Snow" that they would be able to scan and email for me, it would be much appreciated! TIA![]()
Can you not work from the picture with the kit? That's all I ever do with the small ones
Meebo, this is *me* were talking about here!!
Ive only ever done 1 cross stitch in my life! (which I have to say I was very proud of and was considering it for auction one of these days
The Tigger I should be ok with as there is no shading, just blocks of colour, but the other two, Im worried that if I get distracted I will spend more time pulling thread out than actually stitching it in
I got excited when I found 2 of the 3 through google - turns out it was a feebay auction. I emailed the seller to find that she was selling the 4 patterns with no stitch plan either
nm - I shall add it to my "todo" list and get round to playing eventually Im sure![]()
I could suggest you scan the picture and send it to me and I might be able to 'translate' it to a chart. It might not work, but could be worth a try
I have an extensive collection of World of Cross Stitch mags - and will be happy to have a look for you. The number of the magazine wouldn't happen to be on the little kit would it? That would make finding the chart a lot easier!! If not you will have to send me a PM with a little more detail as I know for certain there are several Tigger ones!![]()
Thanks Meebo, the scanners not connected to the PC atm, but Ill rig it up this aft......
ooh I just thought, I could take pics on my phone and bluetooth them to here...
Ill brb!
Tigger is a Christmas one, pip - facing to the right of the pic (his left) with his nose to holly?
Ed in the Snow must be a winter one as well, hes a little bear with green boots and a red hat facing left of the pic
They are both free kits from World of Cross Stitch
Beautiful Bear just says "Cross Stitch Magic Kit 1" A Beautiful Teddy Picture Kit to Stitch & Frame
I shall go take pics to see if that helps
Thank you!
