    I bought something over there...
...and it was from a really lovely seller

He either mentioned ebid in an email, or there was a link or I received a flyer... cant remember what happened exactly (well it was 2003!) but blame him for me being here

Have bought from him here too

Several years ago received some sort of invitation to join...did, then forgot about it. Last year saw Raindropsies forum group on feebay and came to look again. Re-signed up, (as I had changed email servers and couldn't login under the old ID), got so much help on the forums here that I dug in.

On the forum's over there, liked the layout, but everything took to long to load and there didn't seem to be much listed or selling.

But when they stated Paypal only, and not being able to leave factual feedback for bad buyers, decided to give ebid another look and is now turning out to be a wise move.

And of course the cherry on top was the friendly and wise people at The Kitchen Table

Much like others have said, googled for alternatives to the bay and this always looked the best option.

I sold collectables on E**ay and then we decided to do perfumes but E**ay would not accept our first listing and would not tell us why - so we came here and despite my (justified) rant a few days ago pleased we did.

We actually did a lot of research (using Google). Checked out about a dozen auction sites, looked them over, decided eBid was the best of the bunch. It was third or fourth in total listings at the time (in the US), since then has moved to second place (behind you-know-who). Well worth the time invested.
