Default Pre filled books picture problem

Can anyone tell me why this auction 1223035803-21615-0 which has a picture, does not show a camera icon in the listing? Several of the books that I've listed with pre-filled information and the stock photo do not show a camera icon on the listing page. Thanks.

Stock photos dont currently show up in search results and category listings. You will need to add your own photo of the item.

This is something we will look into changing in the near future.

Thanks very much. Funny thing is, some of the stock photos did give me a camera icon on the listing, some didn't. Can't figure out what the difference is in the listings. The are all that same set of books, and all listed the same way at the same time.

I see several other copies of the book up for sale, with thumbnails. The ones I checked are shown as Gallery Auctions and your book is shown as a Free Auction.

Seller frankdraw's listing also does not have a thumbnail and it's a Free Auction.

I agree with TexasAda it is dependant if you have a Gallery Auction or a Free Auction. I am starting to do the pre-filled info and sometimes the system suggestso a totally totally different book (yet to work out how they make a connection) and I download my own scanned image for the stock image. If I choose a Free auction I will get the camera icon in the main listings page but the stock image will appear in the listing in the pre-filled info.

I think there is a similar problem with DVD stock images - if I run a gallery auction and use stock information and photo, it seems to work OK. If I then edit the auction for any reason it suddenly demands that I upload my own photo for the gallery thumbnail.

I'm sure this is just a simple programming issue - if the auction has been listed using stock info (with photo) then don't require a user photo, use the stock image instead.

Gazza - I'm not sure that changing that would be altogether good?

Very often I have found that the 'stock photo' is quite different to the edition I'm listing - same ISBN, title author and publisher, but a different edition.

Already the case is that we cannot alter the stock photos or descriptions in any way - particularly irksome when I've gone to the trouble of adding to the database, and made a stupid spelling mistake. That is the part I feel could be altered.

I do always put my own photo on listings, but sometimes its very necessary to show the difference in covers.
