Background music - do or don't?

I personally find unexpected and unwanted music jarring and distracting, and it has sent me away as quickly as possible when it has happened. I find it very difficult to concentrate on what I am trying to read in the description. I like to have some peace and quiet sometimes, which is difficult enough to achieve here in my house with my husband blasting the TV and CDs at full volume day and night, so I wouldn't stay around long enough to see it you were selling anything I might want.
You can, of course, do whatever you want. It's your listing.

I like to surf the internet listening to my MP3 songs or sometimes watching a movie on DVD in a little window on the screen so I find background music annoying and usaully click out of the page asap.

I can only speak for myself but when I'm online I am either listening to my own music or have the volume off. If I do come across a page that has music, I back out unless it's something I'm REALLY interested in and then I'll spend a couple of seconds looking for an on/off button and if I can't find it, I leave. For me, the extra bells and whistles distract from why I have gone to that page. I come across listings on another site that have music, glittering graphics, flashing font and is so complicated that I lose interest in them. I prefer maybe a little color, interesting font, and complete, clear details on what's being offered. Just my humble opinion

don't... I don't like anything "forced" onto the visitor of any web page... music, flash intro, pop up windows, long loading time... all a turn off for me... I will most likely close the window and move on...
