I don't feel as if I've been 'ripped off' - I am very satisfied that I personally am geting very good value for my £50 - what other people pay is no concern of mine!
Also - if this recession keeps on, both prices will be close anyway!
Good point from JudesNiceThings, but you can't blame the OP for raising the apparent discrepancy in the rates - at one time it meant a significant difference and one that many people found odd to say the least.

I think its because there are more sites to compete with in the USA.
im not saying it bad value for money. if you look at my original post you will see i was complaining about why the U.S ebid is $50 and U.K is £50 with exchange rates it works out that we in the U.K have to pay alot more.
But why?????
As you might expect, this, along with many other topics, has come up before. Using the SEARCH function will show answers to previously asked questions.
However, as I have posted before, the answer is simple: eBid wanted to attract members from the US market and fixed an appropriate price to do so. UK members are NOT being ripped off. We still get to save a fortune in comparison to running auctions on Feebay.
Agreed, I can have five stores here, I could not afford to keep on the one I had on feebay. And, has been said before eBid want to attract more users from the US, that is why the price is set that way, anyway 49.99 is a nice convenient figure to use in any currency
