In my younger days, 19seventy-ish - I ALWAYS wanted to be just like her - complete with leathers - but instead of playing a real Bass guitar, I made do with my shoulder bag - - 'played' the bag, and changed chords on the straps. How sad is that?

As Luck would have it, I married a Bass guitar player later - and I got to play on the real thing, hubby taught me a few basics - and also on the guitar !!!!!!
I always put my name down for 'Devil Gate Drive' at Karaoke sessions - although sadly, I still 'play' the shoulder-bag!
(I also love Tina Turner - another heroine of mine - she is simply the best!)

I browsed the forums on 'my first day' and since the other posts seemed very jovial and helpful etc, dropped in a post to say hi, and its gone from there. The welcome was amazing. As you say, there is a strong 'family' feel to the community - a bit like a village - but a big one spread out across the globe.
