A woman of some years (laugh inserted here), could technically fit into a junior size, but to use the UK phrase, would look like mutton dressed as lamb.
Junior clothing is the Hannah Montana look, pink, orange, metallics, bows, rivets, pictures on shirts, etc. Almost like clothing for a 4 year old but made larger (mean but true, you can pick it out a mile away).
Because of tight cut, not interchangable with other women's sizes. Could create problems if junior is not separated from women's clothing. i.e. Someone wearing a size 12 may order the 13 thinking it will fit, but will find it hard to squeeze into.
All US stores have a separate junior department. The clothing has its own neon glow.
