Hello all,
Well, it has taken me most of the afternoon to upload 28 items to my store. When is the 'Ninja Lister' coming to replace the current system?

According to the last info from Gazza the Ninja Lister that had been promised for a long time is no more. The development team that was supposed to produce it failed to deliver the goods and have been dispensed with. The project is now with a new development team and is back to square one.
Though I have no great need of it I do feel they do need to get something out in pretty short order. Even if it doesn't have all the bells and whistles they would wish the ability to create basic listings offline must be made a priority.
Mind you... Turbo Lister didn't always exist. People have been spoilt (if you could ever class TL as being spoilt).
Have you tried Jimbo's lister at: http://ebidinfocom.nfshost.com/lister/
Ebid have two option for loading large numbers of listings: there is the official bulkloader which is spreadsheet based; and also what looks like an easier to use loader can be found at www.ebidinfo.com The second has been developed by Jimbo one of our members. From what we have been told the whole site is in-line for a total re-modelling. So just watch this space.

Not quite. The original died when they kicked the useless developer into touch. The latest version is well into development, with somebody who appears to be more competent apparently, and Son of Ninja will be with us... one day.
Just don't ask me to track down the posts where they told us all that.
I thought that was exactly what I said - with only a differing view of how far into development it is. Gazza said on 29th Dec:
So that makes it now 8 weeks into development. Which I would suggest is not that far.I can add that the Ninja Lister is currently 4 weeks and thousands of pounds into its development. It is an Adobe Air based application and I'm glad to say it's creator is a long way from the numbnuts we employed before!
If it is properly modular then there is no reason a very basic lister could not be brought about in short order. All the nice touches, like importing listings from feebay, could be bolted on to it at a later date. Just a basic offline version of the online listing page would keep most people happy for a while. It would at least give tangible evidence that progress is being made and may prevent some who have no memories of listing the 'hard way' giving up and going elsewhere.
Thought... I wonder if anything can be read from Gazza's vernacular?
Numbnuts, Codswallop, etc. Not words in common usage.
