For those that don't carry mobiles or if the phone is unusable you could always carry a card with your details.I made this one which I always have in my wallet.It's credit card size & laminated.My address & the words "I am also an organ donor"
are on the back.

I think this ICE thingy is a great idea. I know if i had an accident i would want someone to phone my family asap, and visa versa, and to be honest i would rather someone phone quickly, and risk upsetting me, rather than faff around worrying about who or whether they should phone or not, and risk me or my family getting there too late.
When my dad dropped dead of a heart attack on his daily walk, he had no id on him, and my mum had no idea where he was, and it was hours later, after panicking and calling different hospitals etc, that she was told that they had a man of his description bought in. If he had had a phone on him, someone could have phoned her instead.

I've never heard about ICE before, and i'm sure a lot of the idiots that would steal a phone from someone, wouldn't know what ice meant anyway, and would have other things they would rather do with the stolen phone.
