To be honest, no I have never looked in any other category. I know that I want it to be all real so that is the only place I look.

Well, my honest confession is that I don't wear much jewelry other than my Medic Alert bracelet, so I have no idea of how jewelry categories are laid out, here or elsewhere. But sometimes I'll just scroll down the categories under the "Buy" tab and go into random ones, just to see what is there. Sometimes I find something I just have to have, and I wasn't looking for it in the first place. That is kind of fun.
Plus I like seeing new things, and reading how other folks describe their items, etc. The anthropology major in me, or just the irreverant nosey gal in me? Are they one in the same?

You should look around a bit, 1840! Who knows what you might find!

I have a number of vintage sterling silver rings listed that have not even been viewed in over a month. I think it has to do with how most people are searching. They are just catagory browsing and never get past the Chinese junk at the top.

    Hi Terry5732!
Did I buy a fountain pen from you a while back? I know it came from someone in Crystal, MN......

While I'm not brainy enough to know how to do it, I know there are ways of entering your listings that make them appear higher-up in the search results. I don't know how your items are listed, but it seems to me that if they are "run 'til sold" they appear at the bottom.....Kimbo? Anyone?

So is there a way to rewrite the categories that would change the situation you describe, Terry?

I always see the "run til sold" at the top, so my auction items never get seen as all the junk is BIN

There is no selection for auction only but you can select to only see the BINs which are at the top anyways

Trust me to remember something backwards!

If you added a BIN price to your listings, would they then appear higher up?

Also, do you think a "Vintage" jewelry category would be helpful?

I don't think you have. "run till sold" is listed *after* fixed period auctions with X days left to run, in the standard search list.

In my views "run til sold" ALWAYS comes out on top of all auction items

There is a category under "Jewellery & Watches" for "Antique & Vintage", with a lot of subcategories. Maybe only new items have a problem.
