    I had no idea that was how it worked, I NEVER log in and out but you can bet your patootie I will be from now on. my store said I had not been seen since 12 december, thats bad!....

    mine logs out automatically after 3 hours- dont know why but it does mean i have to log in regularly though so no bad thing i suppose

    Why not get your 'pute' to do it for you when you shutdown?
    In Tools>Options>Privacy make sure the settings are as in the picture & tick the box.
    I'm pretty sure IE has a similar facility too.
