I guess the subject says it all really. I'm wondering if it's worth having a seperate Art category - ART being the main cat, then perhaps subcats like:
ART/Paintings
(sub-subcats of:
ART/Paintings/prints
ART/Paintings/watercolours
ART/Paintings/oils
ART/Paintings/contemporary
ART/Paintings/antique)
ART/Drawings
(ssc's maybe:
ART/Drawings/charcoal
ART/Drawings/pastels
ART/Drawings/pencil
ART/Drawings/ink)
ART/Misc
(ssc's of:
ART/Misc/glass
ART/Misc/ceramic
ART/Misc/fabric
ART/Misc/metal
ART/Misc/wood
ART/Misc/encaustic)
Does that make sense? It widens the category while providing a better distinction than just ART vs FINE ART.
