I don't think we need 'ranked' polling. The percentages speak for themselves and is beginning to show the top priority to the least priority.
As for Gazza and Mark paying attention to this poll, I do believe that Gazza suggested it on another thread.

Voted for 3. I pondered translation for non-English speaking countries and thought that would of course be very helpful, but then considered that it could become a huge furball complicated mess quickly.

Whilst not wishing to be patronising, surely most of the web is in English and therefore I would presume the majority foreign web users would have at least a rudimentary grasp of English. Whilst not saying it isn't an issue that needs to be addressed in the long term, I daresay it is beyond the resources of eBid at the present time.

I agree with the last part, Ken, but not with the first. People don't like trading in the wrong language and many are annoyed by the dominance of English. It is also a wise person who knows what he or she doesn't know. I have no idea of the impact on sales on ebid of the absence of other languages.

Yes. I have great respect for bi- or trilingual people. I was only thinking that I'm not aware of any automated translation application that is good enough, and to provide human translation of all listings would be a gargantuan task and expense. Also, would there be any liabilities involved if translations aren't totally accurate to both sides.
