I got a bird book, book on digital photography, Chanel 5 eau de toilette, some marzipan and choccies. Missing from my "wish list" are a multi pack of socks and someone to cook Christmas dinner - may still get the socks, but it's too late now to have someone else do the cooking.

Got jigsaw, Dvd,s and a webcam and microphone so that I can keep in contact with long lost relatives in Canada and Weymouth (Via Skype) that I have just located via ancestry dot com, so 2009 will be a good year I think. Hopefully will trace some more as I trace the family history

I know what you mean Merlin. We are probably like you. When the kids were small and believed it was a big (financial) event - nowadays the emphasis is on a nice meal and quality time together rather then spending a hug amount of money on pressies.

Hellooo Merlin Good to see you
We have had a nice quiet day too...
All I suggested for pressies were a new pair of Wellies ,some chocolate covered crystalised Ginger and some fat balls for me wild Birds...
I didn't get any of them ...YET. I have some vouchers now though and will be able to do a bit of shopping
I did get other things that I am delighted with..A brain training thigy (Nintendo DS) some anti wrinkle cream...Posh stuff ...NOT poly filla as Spyder suggested

Gives Spyder a hard look followed by a slap....Happy Xmas Spyder
So I feel very lucky and a bit merry having had 2 glasses of wine instead of the allowed 1

Got someting I forgot I wanted . . . a vintage Estate Wine Bottle Opener that even I can't mess up, I usually end up with half the cork in the wine.

Also, the new Indiana Jones DVD . . . now I can have another movie marathon. And some stocking stuffers.

The adults in our family exchange names, my son-in-law LOVED the gift I gave him, that was more fun than opening my own presents!

I was spoilt by my kids this year - they said I've always spoilt them and now it's my turn - aww....

Got some Nina by Nina Ricci perfume and lotions, some other toiletries, a USB Owl (so cute!), a Wii game, Sweeny Todd DVD, a desk doodle pad for work, a hot water bottle with furry cover (I borrowed my daughter's when I had flu the other week so she got me my own) and I got a CD and an Ipod docking station with wireless speakers from hubby which is great - the speakers come off and they can be carried around the house - I was using them in the kitchen when doing dinner whilst everyone was in the lounge.

Oh, and from my secret santa at work I got a painting by numbers kit (anyone that knows me will know how funny that is!)
