So Have turned the central heating off and cranked up the fire in the living room.

Yes, especially when the dogs wreck things on it - which they do quite often. Boxes mainly - always have to fight to keep those in one piece.

Have just seen the missus off to see her eldest son for a few days.
The younger son is away with some mates of his till the middle of January.
My daughter cant make it over with the kids this year.
So will be all on my own now till Saturday.

Its going to be very quite Christmas.

I suppose this means I will have to put my feet up and slob about the place, watching the telly and drinking beer

And there was me just about to rage about how Matthew just asked me to text his dad about being picked up tomorrow. "wheres your phone?" "I lost it when I was out Friday"

TMobile blocked his phone and sim and confirmed that the last calls made look like they were made from him, so its probably in his bedroom somewhere. Matts answer? "My birthdays in January, Ill just pay the £10 for a new SIM and buy a new phone...."

We almost had a nice quiet alone Christmas this year. Then my dad was going to be alone, so I invited him over. Then my friend who is having a tough time of it (dead beat ex won't support his 4 kids) was going to be alone with her kids, so I invited them over. Oh and the inlaws invited themselves for brunch that morning. Ah well, so much for quiet.
