    Personally I do not back up at the moment, but I am intending to buy an external hard drive next month. The idea of having a duplicate backup is good depending on the costs involved. It could be something cheap like a memory stick kept at a friends house which is backed up at regular intervals or multiple exter hard drives plus on-line. It just depends on how paranoid you can afford to be. Having said that off-site backup is a good idea, my colleague's laptop learned to swim not long ago when the loft water tank burst. He lost everything, and wishes he had backed up off-site.

    I'm doing exactly that myself having had my laptop go down on me twice already 3rd time and there is nooo getting it back on (says the man in the comp shop) so going to back up all my stuff from it
