Thread: Praise for excellent service from a seller.

  1. #1

Default Praise for excellent service from a seller.

I saw a brilliant idea for OH's pressy. A humerous , very realistic parking sign that said " Hilux Surf. P Lesser vehicles will be clamped "
"Wow!" I thought.... OH loves his Hilux pickup ( I think more than me ) He can stick it outside the house or on the garage door....
So I paid up by Paypal and felt really smug until OH was chatting with his friend and the horrible realisation hit me....His Toyota is a Hilux....only...NOT a Surf.... the sign would be wrong

I hastily contacted the seller and explained the situation and would it be possible to leave off the word surf , Did they have one for just a Hilux or should I cancel the sale?

Too late! The sign had been shipped.... "Ah Well!! I thought I suppose I could always re sell it here...
All that was on last Friday Night.....

The sign arrived today... it says Toyota Hilux....Absolutely spot on . OH will love it....
I am going to get one for Bro in law with mini Cooper on.... so that's another awkward pressy solved...

But what fantastic service. It's so good to be able to post praise rather than a grumble

I haven't put the link to the auctions as I don't want people to think I am just doing this to advertise them... but here's a picture

A big thankyou to parkingsigns for service above and beyond the call of duty

how good to see a post about a great seller, recently there seem to have been rather a lot of buyers telling us about the raw deals they've had on ebid.

Happy stories, contented customers have NEVER sold newspapers..( Apart from Royal Weddings and Football wins )
Isn't it funny how bad news or Gossip always grabs people's attention ?

Sis in Law works in a library and the most popular non fiction books are those about crime and serial killers

Why do we like hearing about the bad in people and not the good?
    (All generalisations of course)

Because it is stuff we have never done and find a little hard to comprehend, maybe!

But surely if the item that was supposed to read 'Hilux Surf' had already been shipped but read 'Toyota Hilux' when it arrived then the seller shipped an item not as described.

My late mother was always reading True Life Murder books and magazines, and her favourite shows were things like Taggart (Mudder!), Midsomer Murders, and such.

Used to make those of us around her nervously wonder just what she was plotting.
