Im like you there Sunny - I dont have the radio on, nor the tv - we were told years ago that the council here would sound a siren like an air raid warning if we were at risk from the Thames flooding or nuclear war. Im sure I would know if I was in trouble soon enough.

I read some celebrity mags while at the hospital yesterday and found out kerry katona has admitted that she is an alcoholic and that Iceland are in talks whether to reduce her £250,000 a year contract.

Shame.

I watch over the forums and if theres news worth worrying about its usually posted here for discussion

Since the code for is "confused"*, that all seems like a reasonable assumption. Amz have done DVD rental for ages, so I guess this isn't such a big leap.

I'm not assuming anything and didn't say, or suggest, that they were in "trouble". I merely stated that, like many other businesses great & small, they're feeling the effects of the rapid slowdown in the economy and are doing everything they think sensible to AVOID trouble

This what I read.

I guess 'feeling the pinch of the current climate' means something different to you than a business being in trouble.

You didnt mention any other businesses and I didnt fill in any blanks in your post as I wouldnt want to put words in your mouth.
